Baby Remington

Well, Mandy was induced yesterday and gave birth to a beautiful baby Remington Jace. He was 7 lbs 1 oz. and was 18 inches long. I had the honor of being in the delivery room with them and got to watch the whole show. Contrary to popular belief, that was the COOLEST thing I have ever seen. I can't wait to give birth. Does that make me even weirder?

Week 14 pictures

Well, the nursery is under construction. We're kind of making it up as we go. And you can see that I'm kinda getting bigger.

Stacy is my hero!

This last weekend I took a mental health retreat back to good ole Hot Springs and hung out with my in-laws (more fun than it sounds, really) and my friends. Stacy, who has 1-year old twins and a second grade daughter, spoiled me rotten with baby stuff. She bought me a Pack N Play with a bassinette and changing table, a bottle warmer, wipes warmer, baby monitor, baby lotion, bottles, nipples, and then she started in on the maternity clothes, baby towels, sleepers, and blankets. She filled my poor little car with baby goodies. Nearly half of my "baby checklist" is complete. I know I'll never have everything and that I may not need most of the stuff I do have, but I'm a preparer. Okay, I'll admit it...I'm a pack rat. I gotta have all of the gadgets.

Comment Spam

Well, I officially have a real blog. I received comment spam yesterday, so, unfortunately, I have added verification to my comments (sorry Jodi, five more letters to type!)

Week 10

We had our first doctor's appointment yesterday. The doctor was able to find the baby's heartbeat as well as confirm my due date of May 8. According to the doctor's scale, I have lost a pound since discovering I was pregnant. Seth couldn't make it to the appointment and was very disappointed that I got to hear the heart without him.

This is starting to become more real.

On another separate but similar note, I think I have the flu. I threw up yesterday a.m. and felt rotten all day. Standing up is not a good thing right now.
